Interesting in working for a company like Amazon in Toronto?
Hackathons International alongside Amazon will be hosting #HackTO at the Amazon offices in Toronto from September 8th-11th.
The hybrid hackathon will be challenging participants to design, develop, deploy and demonstrate their ideas around diversity in and around the workplace.
#HackTO will be set to enhance the already thriving tech community in Toronto by upskilling individuals and providing a space for attendees to network and collaborate.
“We want use the strength of Toronto being a diverse city to create solutions and reimagine how an inclusive workplace should ideally look,” Angela Chan, CEO of Hackathons International told Tech Talent Canada.
HackTO welcomes all that are inspired to collaborate and innovate with like-minded individuals for the betterment of their local community. Organizers expect 120+ participants in Toronto, competing for $2,000 in prizes for the winning teams.
Following the hackathon, there will be an opportunity for participants to apply to a weekend ‘hiring’ Hackathon where individuals will be assessed and placed into open roles at Amazon.
Community Partners include LeapGrad, Women In Agile Toronto, TorontoJS, IgnitionHacks, Toronto Global, SAS, Toronto Data Professionals, Lighthouse Labs and Tech Talent Canada.
