New Ventures BC (NVBC) is a Vancouver-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and recognizing early-stage technology startups across British Columbia. They organize the annual $250,000 New Ventures BC Competition and offer accelerator programs, including AccelerateIP and BC IP Strategy, to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
NVBC is currently seeking to fill two contract positions:
Communications & Digital Marketing Coordinator (Contract Role, Hybrid)
This role involves managing communications and digital marketing efforts to promote NVBC’s programs and initiatives. The coordinator will be responsible for creating content, managing social media channels, and engaging with the community to enhance NVBC’s online presence. The position offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with in-office collaboration in Vancouver.
Event Manager (Contract, Hybrid)
The Event Manager will oversee the planning and execution of NVBC’s events, including educational sessions, industry panels, and networking events. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, managing event communications, and ensuring successful event delivery. This hybrid role requires the ability to work both remotely and on-site in Vancouver.
