Vancouver’s AbCellera, Cymax, Klue, Thinkific, & Unbounce Hiring Virtually

November 23, 2020 by Robert Lewis

It’s a great time to be looking for a new gig in Vancouver’s tech ecosystem with these five newsworthy tech companies participating in our November 25th virtual job fair.

AbCellera

2020 Technology Impact Award winner AbCellera is hiring for 30+ roles including biologists, biochemists, engineers, bioinformaticians, computer scientists, and physicists. Earlier this year AbCellera was named the winner of Fast Company’s Innovative Team of the Year award. AbCellera’s Pandemic Prevention Platform team brought the first COVID-19 antibody to clinical trials in under 90 days.

Cymax

Burnaby’s Cymax is exploring going public as early as next spring, joining a string of Canadian companies doing the same as investor demand for tech stocks soars during the pandemic. Controlled by billionaire entrepreneur Markus Frind,  the Cymax Group of brands includes two retail websites, Cymax Business and Home Square, which sell furniture and decor; plus Freight Club and Channel Gate, which are e-commerce logistics and technology platforms.

Klue

2020 BC Tech Company of the Year – Growth Success award winner Klue is hiring across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product for their competitive intelligence tool. In September Klue raised a $15 million Series A funding round led by Silicon Valley’s Craft Ventures.

Thinkific

Since March, Thinkific has seen a 200% increase in online courses being created on its platform. Online training is skyrocketing across every industry – from solo-preneurs teaching guitar fundamentals, business coaching, and fitness training. Thinkific recently closed a $22 million growth financing round led by Vancouver’s Rhino Ventures and announced plans to triple its workforce, hiring an additional 350 team members over the next 18 months.

Unbounce

No one should be surprised to hear that Vancouver’s Unbounce was just awarded the BC Tech’s GameChanger – Diversity & Inclusion award. They recently announced the launch of Pay Up for Progress, a new initiative aimed at urging business leaders to prioritize gender pay parity within their organizations. Unbounce is the world’s leading landing page platform with a workplace of over 175 people who really, truly care about one another and 20 very good office dogs (watch the video).
