The 25 Best Companies to Advance Your Career in Canada According to LinkedIn

April 8, 2025 by Knowlton Thomas

LinkedIn this week revealed its latest Top Companies list for Canada.

The online networking platform’s annual ranking spotlights 25 workplaces across the country that are hiring and investing in employees for long-term career growth.

“As jobseekers strive to stay ahead, it’s no longer just about finding a job,” posits LinkedIn. “It will be increasingly important to find a workplace that fuels continuous learning and long-term growth.”

That’s where LinkedIn’s Top Companies list comes in, highlighting what it claims are the best workplaces to grow your career in Canada based on LinkedIn data such as tracking upskilling initiatives, promotion rates, and career mobility within an organization.

Below, the full list:

  1. Scotiabank
  2. TD
  3. Desjardins
  4. CIBC
  5. Thermo Fisher Scientific
  6. Doane Grant Thornton
  7. Autodesk
  8. RBC
  9. Oracle
  10. BMO
  11. Alphabet
  12. Ciena
  13. Ericsson
  14. National Bank of Canada
  15. Ross Video
  16. ServiceNow
  17. Synopsys
  18. Instacart
  19. Workday
  20. Amgen
  21. Qualcomm
  22. Slalom
  23. McKinsey & Company
  24. Specsavers
  25. Infosys

While the 2025 edition of Top Companies spans an array of sectors, from high technology to business consulting services, this year’s list is notably dominated by the financial services sector, which has been booming in Canada for years. Notably, more than half of the top 10 features Canadian banks, including Scotiabank, TD, CIBC, RBC, and BMO.

LinkedIn late last year dropped its 7th annual list of Top Startups, revealing 15 emerging Canadian companies, which also included a strong fintech presence via Toronto’s Float and Pine and Montreal’s Züm Rails.
