Ramarketing, an agency in the global pharmaceutical and biotech space, is expanding its international footprint with the opening of a new office in Toronto.
The decision to establish a presence in Toronto is part of ramarketing’s strategic long-term vision to expand in North America, following the successful inauguration of its Boston office in 2018.
The company says it intends to use its Toronto office as a hub for serving clients across the United States and Canada, while also continuing its support for clients in Europe and Asia.
“Our expansion into Toronto marks a pivotal milestone for ramarketing, solidifying our commitment to global expansion,” stated chief executive officer Emma Banks. “The thriving life science ecosystem and proximity to a growing pharma manufacturing hub present abundant opportunities for collaboration and exponential growth.”
From the get-go, the Toronto office will be led by three senior team members, including the company’s founder, Raman Sehgal. They will focus on cultivating ramarketing’s culture within the new office and recruiting top talent from the broader Toronto region.
“Adding a new location will enhance the agency’s international outlook and attract top-tier talent from diverse backgrounds to seamlessly cater to the thriving North American market,” Banks continued. “With our highly adaptable, and specialist team, we are confident that the move will be a success.”
Ramarketing has seen growth after securing an investment from private equity firm NorthEdge in 2022. The company exceeded targets, witnessing a 45% surge in top-line revenue and expanding its workforce by more than 40%.
Toronto was strategically chosen for the new office due to its status as a global life sciences hub, attracting leading biosciences, pharmaceutical, and medical technology companies from across the globe, according to Banks. With 53 of the world’s top 100 life sciences firms and 16 of the top 25 global medical device companies located in the region, Toronto has over 14,000 people employed in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry—a figure surpassing those in Boston, Los Angeles, and Montréal.
Ramarketing selected Toronto Global, a not-for-profit investment attraction agency that supports the expansion of foreign-owned businesses to the region, to assist its expansion into Canada.
“It has been a pleasure to provide our team of experienced business advisors to assist with the expansion,” commented Stephen Lund, CEO of Toronto Global. “I am excited to welcome ramarketing to Toronto!”
Founded in 2009, ramarketing is an agency for ambitious companies looking to raise profile and deliver commercial results across the global pharmaceutical and biotech sector.
