Calgary Looks To Toronto For Tech Talent

August 13, 2020 by Robert Lewis

Last Fall Calgary Economic Development (CED) launched a campaign to attract tech talent to the prairie city.

To inspire tech professionals to consider Calgary as a place to do meaningful work and have an unmatched quality of life, Live Tech. Love Life draws a parallel between working in tech and Calgary’s lifestyle.

With the COVID-19 crisis putting thousands of tech professionals out of work in Toronto and Vancouver, Calgary has an opportunity to throw a lifeline to those that are willing to relocate and start fresh in a new city.

With more than 2,000 open tech jobs in Calgary, growing the tech community is a need that has been reinforced by local companies of all sizes – they require the right talent to grow their businesses.

To help spread the word Calgary Economic Development is participating in the Tech Talent Toronto Virtual Job Fair on September 23rd. Register now to learn more about opportunities in Calgary.
