Projections estimate that by 2040, 40% more cybersecurity professionals will be required to meet a rising global demand.
Locally, cyber threats continue to rise, and the surge in incidents, coupled with Canada’s inability to fulfill positions, highlights an increasingly urgent need for proficient cybersecurity experts.
Today, global cybersecurity leader, Check Point announced the expansion of its SecureAcademy™ Program in Canada, programming that will provide students with essential cybersecurity skills, learning resources, and hands-on training exercises, preparing them to administer cybersecurity solutions in the real world.
The program is currently operating across eight new universities and colleges, including the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Willis College, and the University of Calgary, delivering a cutting-edge curriculum that encompasses key cybersecurity topics such as threat prevention, network security, endpoint security, cloud security, mobile security, and security management to equip the next generation of Canadian cybersecurity professionals.
The program has over 170 partnerships globally, and this expansion cements Canada’s place on the global cybersecurity stage.
