Clio Hiring 100 Staff Before the End of 2019

September 6, 2019 by Robert Lewis

The big news in the Canadian technology ecosystem this week is Clio’s announcement that they have raised a $333 million.

The Series D round, led by US growth-equity firms TCV and JMI Equity illustrates their confidence that Clio will lead the legal tech market and that the legal tech industry is the next industry to watch.

Clio currently has 400 employees across offices in Burnaby, Calgary, Toronto, Los Angeles and Dublin.

At the press conference announcing the funding round, founder and CEO Jack Newton said the new money will allow Clio to hire 100 new employees by the end of the year and an additional 100 in 2020.
