ECO Canada Launches Digital Academy to Help Upskill Environmental Talent

November 14, 2025 by Knowlton Thomas

Canada’s Environmental Careers Organization has launched an online academy with an aim to upskill more talent.

Established in the early 90’s, ECO Canada acts as a steward of the country’s environmental industry.

Working alongside government, academia, and employers, the national organization is involved in championing a range of initiatives, from job creation and wage funding to training and labour market research—all oriented around environmental careers in Canada.

ECO Canada says that its new digital tool, the ECO Academy website, is designed to be the ” prime destination for scaling up your skills and advancing your environmental career.”

“We’re excited to introduce a fresh lineup of professional development courses designed to help you grow, lead, and adapt in today’s evolving workplace,” reads a statement from the organization. “Whether you’re looking to strengthen team dynamics, sharpen your problem-solving skills, or lead with greater emotional insight, these new offerings have you covered.”

The ECO Academy targets both those just starting out, as well as those already with expertise looking to advance their career, with more than 100 online courses, workshops, and webinars.

Topics covered by the Academy include Artificial Intelligence, environmental science, policy, and sustainable business practices.

“ECO Academy is designed to help you stay ahead of industry trends, gain in-demand skills, and connect with some of Canada’s top experts,” reads the statement. “No matter your goal, whether it’s enhancing your technical knowledge, exploring new career opportunities, or gaining specialized training, our site offers a seamless and user-friendly experience for all your learning needs.”

ECO Academy also promises flexible learning options by allowing students to explore courses by topic, career stage, or pricing—anytime, anywhere.

Completing an Academy course earns students a certificate to validate the achievement, as well as a digital badge suitable for LinkedIn.

Taking the next step in your career “has never been more straightforward,” according to ECOC Canada.

“Whether you’re enhancing your existing skills or venturing into new areas, we offer a wealth of resources that empower you to grow professionally,” the org states.

To celebrate the launch of the Academy website, ECO Canada is offering 20% off with code AcademyLaunch20 through the end of November.
