Help Is On Its Way For Your Job Interviews On Zoom

June 23, 2021 by Robert Lewis

An unprecedented global pandemic has flipped everything we know on its head with employers across the country having transitioned their teams to be fully remote for the foreseeable future.

Job seekers now face a new hurdle: how to navigate the virtual environment in order to successfully apply, interview, and land their dream jobs.

Welcome news from EyeQ Imaging, the Calgary-based maker of Perfectly Clear automatic image correction technology, as they launched a product to clean up the look of Zoom calls and virtual interviews.

Perfectly Clear Video is an AI video enhancement technology that uses artificial intelligence to automatically enhance videos in real time and offers a new way to combat limitations that all of us face such as low-quality cameras, bad lighting and complex editing sliders. It automatically applies the same types of adjustments that professional retouchers would do and can be integrated directly into any video pipeline.

The launch of the technology is certainly timely. Due to the pandemic, we’re engaging more than ever with video content. One industry insider pegged the growth in both video creation and consumption at greater than 120%. EyeQ saw an opportunity to expand beyond its traditional focus on photo image correction.

EyeQ founder and CEO Brad Malcolm noted that “it’s about time that all of us say goodbye to video calls where our face is too dark to be seen because we’re sitting in front of a window or a blue sky.”

The new technology can detect and then brighten the faces on a video conference, remove glaring tint from a selfie video in a poorly lit bar or restaurant, or even gain important detail from surveillance footage.

Check out the AI technology in action below.
