Are you a marketer, aspiring marketer, or otherwise looking to land an exciting job in the Alberta technology scene?
On October 19th OnRamp will host an event that shows why tech is the field to be working for —even as a marketer—and that Alberta may just be the place to do it in.
After all, there are nearly 3,000 technology companies in Alberta, according to PwC—which is a massive increase from 2016, when about 1,500 were counted. And in the first quarter of 2022, Alberta experienced its highest quarterly investment on record, according to the Canadian Venture Capital Association.
After jump wrapping up their first cohort of participants in late September, OnRamp will host “Real talk: why tech is the place to be for marketers.”
A panel of tech marketers will discuss the ups, downs, and everything in between when it comes to the field of technology marketing. The panel serves as a convenient way to pick up some valuable wisdom from seasoned professionals.
Moderated by 321 Growth Academy and OnRamp partner Chantel Elliott, the panel will feature Jordan Boyd, Performance Marketing Manager of Digital Growth for Neo Financial; Chan Chong, Marketing Manager for Orpyx Medical Technologies; and Danielle Torrie, Manager, Brand Marketing for Symend.
Topics to be discussed include: Why tech is such a great industry to work in; what skills you need to be successful in a tech marketing role, and how to learn those skills; the variety of marketing roles that exist in a tech company; and more.
