Groq Brings Silicon Valley Innovation to Kamloops

January 1, 2025 by Techtalent.ca Newsdesk

Silicon Valley’s Groq, a leader in artificial intelligence (AI) hardware, is hiring a Site Manager for its Kamloops, British Columbia, location.

Recently valued at $2.8 billion after raising $640 million USD in a Series D funding round led by BlackRock Private Equity Partners, Groq continues to expand its global operations.

The Site Manager will oversee data center operations, ensuring site availability, scalability, and efficiency. Responsibilities include managing profit and loss (P/L), implementing preventative maintenance programs, supervising on-site teams, and handling large-scale projects.

The position requires 5-10 years of experience in areas such as building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or data center operations. Strong project management skills and familiarity with Management of Change processes are essential.

Candidates must be well-organized, excellent communicators, and comfortable with tools like Google Docs and Office 365. Experience in managing a technical workforce in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly is a key asset. Onsite presence in Kamloops and travel to remote sites as needed are also required.

Groq offers a competitive salary range ($88,000–$167,300 CAD), equity, and benefits. This role is ideal for driven professionals looking to thrive in a dynamic, innovative company.
