In an effort to make re-skilling opportunities accessible, Canadian tech education leader Lighthouse Labs has announced the launch of an additional $500,000 in in-kind tech education scholarships available for Canadians who are facing economic uncertainty due to COVID-19.
This is Lighthouse Labs’ second $500,000 scholarship dedicated to Canadians impacted by COVID, and comes after the success of their first COVID scholarship, which launched in April and helped more than 150 students access their programs.
The scholarships offer partial tuition coverage and are intended to help recipients develop skills that will allow them to launch new careers and get back to work during these unsettling times.
Scholarships are available in varying amounts, up to $5,000 towards their Data Science and Web Development bootcamps.
You can apply for a scholarship during the application process, by submitting a written essay explaining how you’ve been impacted by COVID-19 and how the skills you’ll learn at Lighthouse will help you in your career.
