These Companies Are Hiring During The COVID-19 Pandemic

March 26, 2020 by Robert Lewis

We’re living in unprecedented times and it will take years for the Canadian economy to recover.

To support those who have lost jobs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Toronto startup community created a CDN Startup Community #COVID19 Talent Help List last week.

This week we’ve got the other side of the equation coming together with a growing list of Canadian companies that are hiring during the COVID-19 crisis.

“As we all come together to support one another during this unprecedented time, to avoid undue hardship on talent we are compiling a centralized list of employers who are hiring across Canada,” wrote the creator of the shared Google spreadsheet.

“The purpose of this list is to provide talent with the information they need in order to be able to secure a role elsewhere, while serving as a hub for employers to share their current vacancies with talent.”

While some of the companies and their roles are non-technical in nature, there are a number of tech companies hiring including Amazon, Bananatag, Brex, Clio, Ceridian, Cymax, D2L, Freshbooks, Hootsuite, Lumen5, Semios, Slack, Shopify, TELUS Digital, Terramera, Thinkific, Unbounce, and Wattpad.
