Victoria’s Certn to Bolster Workforce Following Series B Round

May 10, 2022 by Knowlton Thomas

Background screening solutions leader Certn continues its expansion unabated.

The Victoria-based company announced this week that it has raised a sizeable round of Series B funding. This is a notable follow-up to last year, when Certn raised a large Series A.

With these injections of capital, Certn has already made “a number of strategic hires.” However, that is only the beginning for the Canadian company.

Building on the recent acquisition of Credence, a UK-based provider of global background checks, Certn plans to create more than 150 new roles this year alone.

Certn makes building trust simple by creating an expedited background check experience that enables employers and candidates to embark on their working relationship. The company empowers employers to make faster hiring decisions in a competitive labor market.

Techcouver named Certn one of 10 homegrown B.C. startups to watch in 2020.
