Saskatoon’s 7shifts has raised a $80 million Series C financing round led by Softbank.
Founded in Saskatoon in 2014, 7shifts is simplifying team management, one shift at a time. More than a scheduling platform, 7shifts empowers restaurant managers to optimize their workforce to better manage employees, resulting in reduced labor costs.
The restaurant employee scheduling solution is used by over 27,000 restaurants and more than 700,000 restaurant workers across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Australia, including multi-unit restaurant groups like Bareburger, Smoke’s Poutinerie, YogurtLand, Juice It Up!, and many others.
7shifts now has over 220 employees of their own and plans to add 130 more this year.
7shifts was founded by Jordan Boesch while working for his dad at Quiznos. He witnessed the pains of building schedules first-hand while watching his dad manage and schedule several employees across his two locations. It was at that point that he began building 7shifts.
Boesch’s startup joins Saskatoon’s other two software stars, Coconut Software and Vendasta, in completing growth-stage financings within the past year.
In 2021, Coconut Software raised a $28 Million Series B funding round and Vendasta raised a monster $120 million round.
