Vancouver-based AI startup Quandri is launching a major hiring campaign as it scales its engineering organization and accelerates product development for the insurance sector.
The company plans to add more than 40 new roles in 2025, primarily across engineering, product, and operations. To support this expansion, Quandri will open a new 15,000-square-foot office in Vancouver later this summer, further anchoring its presence in British Columbia’s growing tech ecosystem.
The hiring push is part of a broader strategy to scale Quandri’s AI automation platform, which streamlines personal lines insurance renewals for brokerages—reducing manual work and unlocking growth.
As part of this growth, Quandri has appointed Heather Natour as its new Vice President of Engineering. Natour brings over two decades of experience leading high-performing technical teams at companies including Opendoor, Lyft, Capital One, and Blackboard.
Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Engineering at Opendoor, where she led consumer product development and platform growth initiatives.
“Heather’s track record is exceptional; she’s delivered real results at top companies in the Bay Area, and has built high-impact, mission-driven teams,” said Jackson Fregeau, CEO and co-founder of Quandri. “Her leadership will be instrumental in helping us move faster and smarter, and will play a key role in doubling our engineering organization over the next six months.”
In her new role, Natour will oversee platform architecture, infrastructure, security, and product delivery. She will focus on building a high-performing team and ensuring engineering is central to innovation, efficiency, and revenue impact.
“Quandri is building something truly meaningful for an underserved industry,” said Natour. “This team has such strong values and momentum, and I look forward to scaling the engineering function and continuing to deliver solutions that create real value for our customers.”
Named one of LinkedIn’s Top Canadian Startups and one of ten homegrown startups to watch in 2024, Quandri is rapidly scaling—and its investment in people, leadership, and infrastructure signals even more milestones to come.
