Calgary Launches Campaign To Attract Tech Talent

October 17, 2019 by Robert Lewis

Calgary Economic Development (CED) has launched a new ad campaign to attract tech talent to the prairie city.

To inspire tech professionals to consider Calgary as a place to do meaningful work and have an unmatched quality of life, CED has launched Live Tech. Love Life to draw a parallel between working in tech and Calgary’s lifestyle.

With more than 2,000 open tech jobs in Calgary, growing the tech community is a need that has been reinforced by local companies of all sizes – they require the right talent to grow their businesses.

Calgary has traditionally been known as a global centre for energy, but between 2012 and 2016, the number of technology companies headquartered in Alberta increased almost 50 per cent.
