IWIL Ignite announced this week that it is expanding into the Canadian market.
IWIL is a global digital literacy and AI incubation organization “committed to bridging the gap between today’s skills and tomorrow’s opportunities.”
The organization operates the Centre for Global Digital Literacy and AI Incubation, which aims to combine “AI upskilling and consultancy services to develop 100,000 future skill leaders” by 2030.
IWIL Ignite offers three distinct, interconnected pathways, each designed to address specific dimensions of digital transformation and workforce evolution: Professional Upskilling & Career Development; the Entrepreneurial AI Hub; and Digital Transformation Literacy curriculum.
“Our approach combines practical skill development with purposeful innovation, ensuring technology adoption remains anchored in human values and community impact,” reads a statement from IWIL.
The firm’s announcement was made at a recent summit, “AI × Industry: Redefining the Future of Work,” by company founder Deepa Sayal.
“The real AI gap in Canada isn’t access to tools,” suggests Sayal. “It’s access to people who can apply them with judgment, speed, and business value.”
“We’re building talent that isn’t just AI-aware but industry-ready and capable of contributing meaningfully to Canada’s economic future,” Sayal says.
IWIL Ignite programs span AI fundamentals, digital automation, and responsible use, helping organizations adopt AI in a safe, ethical, and execution-focused manner, according to Sayal.
IWIL’s Upskilling pathway is designed for students and career-switchers who recognize that digital and AI literacy are no longer optional. This pathway includes IWIL’s flagship professionals program, the Ignite Leadership Academy, which “develops future-ready skills through a curriculum that blends digital literacy, AI fundamentals, strategic thinking, and adaptive leadership.”
Participants emerge from Upskilling at the Ignite Leadership Academy with certifications, portfolio projects, expanded professional networks, and confidence in technology-driven environments.
The AI Hub, meanwhile, provides AI-first founders with technical mentorship, product development support, go-to-market strategy, and access to investor networks.
“Our alumni have launched ventures, secured funding, implemented AI systems that improved productivity by measurable margins, and created jobs in emerging technology sectors,” the organization states.
And the Digital Transformation Literacy pathway focuses on responsible technology use as well the connection between digital wellness and mental health, including using critical thinking skills to navigate information ecosystems, identify misinformation, understand algorithmic bias, and make informed choices.
So far, IWIL Ignite has upskilled over 50,000 professionals and incubated more than 50 startups.
