Six Companies That Are Hiring Virtually In B.C. Next Week

April 21, 2021 by Robert Lewis

It’s a great time to be looking for a new gig in Vancouver’s tech ecosystem and we’re making it easier than ever with own upcoming virtual job fair.

Tech Talent Canada’s job fairs have been a huge success with 1,500+ educated, experienced, and diverse candidates at each of their events since they went virtual last fall.

Our event on April 28th will feature six tech companies (and more from across Canada) that have been in the news of late and are hiring aggressively in British Columbia.

AlayaCare

AlayaCare is a revolutionary cloud-based home care software platform for agencies looking for innovation and efficiencies across the entire agency.

Last year the well-funded Montreal-headquartered startup acquired Victoria’s Procura giving it offices across Canada. Alayacare is hiring a DevOps Analyst, Senior Software Developer, and a Product Designer in B.C.

Bench

Bench was singled out earlier this year for The Narwhal List as a young Canadian company that has the potential to scale up and reach world-class status.

Bench is scaling up their engineering team to augment their accounting offerings with business bank accounts that integrate seamlessly with their bookkeeping.

Fintel Connect

More than 50+ financial brands and fintechs use Vancouver’s Fintel Connect‘s to enhance their marketing through its performance marketing network and tracking and reporting capabilities.

Fintel Connect was recently named to Rocket Builders’ Ready to Rocket list for ICT companies and is hiring a Business Development Coordinator, Affiliate Manager, and Systems Administrator.

Tipalti

Tipalti enables high-growth companies to scale quickly by making payables strategic with operational, compliance, and financial controls. Companies can efficiently and securely pay thousands of partners and vendors in 196 countries within minutes.

Tipalti is on a roll and with it comes an bigger presence in Vancouver where they plan to expand their local footprint to 80-90 employees by the end of 2021, which will be a 200% increase in employee count from the end of 2020.

Traction Guest

In 2019 Traction Guest raised a $17 million financing round led by Bessemer Venture Partners for their cloud-based visitor management solution that used iPads to track office activity.

The Burnaby-headquartered startup is busy adapting their technology to the new reality of a hybridized work environment and is hiring for roles across customer success, software development, finance, and marketing.

Yelp

Founded in San Francisco in July 2004, Yelp connects people with great local businesses. Yelp users have contributed over 200 million reviews of almost every type of local business, from restaurants, boutiques and salons to dentists, mechanics, plumbers and more.

Yelp is expanding its hiring efforts in Canada with plans to hire remote Software Engineers and Data Engineers in Vancouver.
