Hot Startup Lumen5 Looks to Bolster Workforce

October 17, 2019 by Robert Lewis

These days, video marketing is huge—but video isn’t always simple or affordable to produce. Enter Lumen5, which converts blog posts into social videos.

Lumen5 uses artificial intelligence to create high quality videos for content marketing at scale. The Vancouver startup’s AI platform already boasts more than 300,000 users.

“The goal of the platform is to allow anyone without training or experience to easily create engaging video content within minutes,” explains Lumen5. “Our technology enables marketing teams to focus on the story and narrative while relying on our system to do the heavy lifting.”

New Ventures BC, which hosts an annual province-wide startup competition, recognized the two-year-old company was on to something earlier this year. Lumen5 took home first place and was awarded a package valued at $105,000.

To continue this momentum, the video creation startup knows it needs an influx of top talent. Lumen5 intends to maintain its growth at the Tech Talent Vancouver Job Fair, a unique recruiting event that connects Vancouver’s hottest companies with local talent in the city. The company is currently offering roles in software engineering, customer acquisition and success, and more.

The Tech Talent Vancouver Job Fair takes place on October 24 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Tickets start at $20 and includes a free drink and delectable appetizers.
