Toronto-based Humi, a leading employment platform for Canadian businesses, has launched an Innovation Partner Program to help small businesses scale and drive innovation across the country. The program is aimed at accelerators, incubators, and ecosystem hubs, offering their members a year of free access to Humi’s employment platform.
Early partners in the program include DMZ, Ripple Ventures, and Platform Calgary, providing startups with essential tools and resources to grow while conserving capital.
The package includes streamlined HR, payroll, and time-off management, helping founders reduce administrative tasks and focus on business growth. Participants also receive access to Humi’s benefits offerings and Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) claims services to help save on R&D costs.
“With our goal to help founders build impactful startups, Humi’s Innovation Partner Program was a perfect fit,” said Olivia Lunderville, Incubator Program Manager at DMZ. “Our founders have benefited from the platform—it cuts down on administrative work, giving them time to focus on growing their businesses.”
Kevin Kliman, co-founder and CEO of Humi, emphasized that the program is tailored to address the needs of small businesses in a competitive market. “We’ve designed this program to give founders access to resources they need to innovate faster, whether it’s onboarding new talent or maximizing their SR&ED claim,” Kliman said.
Humi’s COO, Chris Wainwright, added that they plan to expand the program to partner with venture capital funds and other tech companies, enhancing the support ecosystem for startups. “Our vision is to accelerate the Canadian economy by empowering businesses to be better employers. The Innovation Partner Program is just one of many steps toward that goal.”
