Calgary’s North Vector Dynamics is putting recruitment on its growth agenda after closing a Series A financing exceeding C$29 million.
The Canadian defence tech company says the funding will help attract talent as it expands manufacturing and assembly, strengthens its supply chain, and establishes offices in the United States and Europe. European investor Tech Horizons led the round.
For Canadian tech workers, the opportunity spans software, IT, product development, and project delivery. In a recent recruitment post, North Vector Dynamics highlighted Calgary-based openings for a Head of Product, Information Technology Manager, Mission Software Lead, Embedded Linux Engineer, and Project Manager.
The company is seeking people interested in tackling technical challenges associated with bringing its counter-drone technology to Canada and allied markets.
Its initial commercial product, CM-70, is a precision-guided interceptor designed to counter high-speed drones and integrate with existing air-defence systems.
“This round gives us the capital and the industrial reach to move from validation toward production volume and into Allied markets,” said co-founder and CEO Paul Ziadé.
Founded in 2022, North Vector Dynamics has roots in Calgary’s engineering research community. Ziadé and co-founder Craig Johansen are former University of Calgary engineering professors, while fellow co-founder Colin Hill brings propulsion and aerodynamics expertise.
