Tech Talent Canada is hosting its next virtual job fair this Wednesday, February 23rd— and it might just be the best one yet.
Companies hiring at the event will be representing an exciting range of industries and a broad spectrum of technologies. For example, Blackline Safety uses wearable technology to improve workplace safety. Meanwhile, Attabotics draws inspiration from ant colonies to reimagine supply chain logistics with robotics.
There is also Canvass, which leverages artificial intelligence for industrial applications. Alberta’s Flahmingo and Ontario’s Portfolio+ are financial technology startups shaking up banking and investing in Canada.
For those looking at Canada’s large and stable telecommunications sector, the Tech Talent Canada Job Fair will feature anchors Rogers, Shaw, and Telus.
Yes, that is correct: three of the country’s biggest telecom firms will be actively hiring at this fair.
Rogers, which recently expanded operations in the Okanagan, expects growth under a new CEO in 2022 while TELUS anticipates tens of thousands of jobs created as a result of its 5G network rollout.
“If you’re exploring career options and opportunities within Canada’s tech ecosystem, this is the event to attend as we head out of winter and in to springtime,” says Rob Lewis, Editor-in-Chief of Techcouver and the lead organizer behind Tech Talent’s popular job fairs. “Our fairs are unique recruiting events that connect a city’s fastest growing companies with top tech talent.”
In all, there are several hundred open roles available to fill across more than two dozen esteemed companies. These growing teams are hiring in most major centres across the country, including Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Many are also open to hiring remotely.
Lewis notes that the virtual event is free for job seekers to attend.
For a full list of hiring companies, he suggests checking out the event registration page.
Outside of its seasonal fairs, Tech Talent also hosts a Job Board, which is flush with opportunities year-round.
