The event is a unique opportunity for employers to meet with diverse talents nationwide in a hybrid and immersive experience while helping International students fill in the gap of a labour shortage as the Canadian economy recovers from the pandemic.
Isempower partners with over 20 colleges and universities nationwide to support international students & graduates in career development, including University of British Columbia, Toronto Metropolitan University, George Brown College, Capilano University, Fraser International College, Vancouver Island University, Loyalist College, and more.
Participating employers are diversity leaders such as RBC, BC Hydro, Sysco, Grant Thornton, Best Buy Canada, Technical Safety BC, and many more.
“International students & alumni are often overlooked during the typical hiring process. We are putting together this Career Fair to show the employers that having an international background should be an advantage not a disadvantage,” said Pat Chaisang, Isempower’s Founder and a former international student herself
“We will enhance the hiring experience for employers that care about diversity & inclusion by hosting our first-ever Career Fair, a virtual event where employers will meet with prospective talents across multiple institutions across Canada using one platform. This event will help employers tap into an untapped talent pool of diverse talents like never before.”
