CoLab Software Launches Major Hiring Push Across Canada

September 6, 2026 by Techtalent.ca Newsdesk

St. John’s-based CoLab Software is heading into the fall with more than 20 positions open across its growing team.

The Canadian software company is recruiting across research and development, go-to-market and operations, with opportunities ranging from senior technical positions to sales, customer success and people leadership.

Among the openings are VP of Software Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineer, Senior Full Stack Developer, Senior Backend Developer, Senior PLM/CAD Integrations Developer and Senior 3D & AI Systems Developer.

CoLab is also looking for a Director of Sales, Business Value Engineer, Customer Sales Engineer, Technical Enablement Specialist, Customer Education Lead and multiple strategic customer success and account executives. Its operations openings include Senior Director of People and Senior People Business Partner.

The recruitment drive follows a period of significant growth for CoLab. According to the company, its workforce expanded by 67 percent during the past year, growing from 96 to 160 employees. Deloitte Canada also named CoLab to its Technology Fast 50 in 2025.

CoLab develops an AI-powered collaboration and design-review platform used by engineering teams working on products such as automobiles, medical devices and industrial equipment. The software captures design feedback, decisions and engineering knowledge that can be used by AI agents to identify potential issues and improve product development.

The company raised US$72 million in Series C financing in November 2025. CoLab said the capital would support the development of new AI agents, additional integrations and an expansion of its go-to-market organization.

CoLab describes itself as remote-friendly and offers benefits including health and dental coverage, retirement-plan matching, stock options and unlimited paid time off.

Candidates can review available positions on the company’s careers page.
