20 Companies Are Hiring For Over 200 Roles In Calgary

August 8, 2020 by Robert Lewis

Last Fall Calgary Economic Development (CED) launched a campaign to attract tech talent to the prairie city.

To inspire tech professionals to consider Calgary as a place to do meaningful work and have an unmatched quality of life, Live Tech. Love Life drew a parallel between working in tech and Calgary’s lifestyle.

With more than 2,000 open tech jobs in Calgary, growing the tech community is a need that has been reinforced by local companies of all sizes – they require the right talent to grow their businesses.

Hiring in Toronto or Vancouver? Check out Tech Talent Canada’s Virtual Job Fairs.

Calgary Economic Development and Tech West Collective are coming together to co-host the Live Tech, Love Life Virtual Career Fair and Showcase.

The free virtual job fair is on August 18th and will feature 20+ companies and over 200+ open roles in Alberta. Among the hiring companies are AltaML, ATB, Avanti, Benevity, Clio, Neo Financial, and Symend.

With the COVID-19 crisis putting thousands of tech professionals out of work in Toronto and Vancouver, Calgary has an opportunity to throw a lifeline to those that are willing to relocate and start fresh in a new city.
